Te Iringa o Kahukura - Cashmere High

Ōtautahi | Christchurch, www.cashmere.school.nz

Ko Te iringa o Kahukura, ko te korowai mātauraka ō tātou tīpuna.(May the cloak of education, bestowed by our ancestors, shelter us at Cashmere High School.)The kaiako and ākonga at Te Iringa o Kahukura strongly support the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori and look forward to taking part again in the Māori Language Moment in 2021.

Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori 2021

Te Iringa o Kahukura - Cashmere High will kōrero. "Our kaiako will all be doing their own Māori language moments with their classes. Kei a rātou te tikanga/ the choice will be with them. They will also be taking part in a challenge across the week to earn points by using Te Reo Māori in various ways. The winning tari/ department will be awarded a special taonga. Currently Tikanga-a-Iwi/ The Social Sciences are the reigning champions - can they hold their place...? Our ākonga will participate in a form-class challenge to create their own reo Māori moment - could be wallpapering their room with whakataukī, making a video, etc... "
