Ka pānui pukapuka māua ki māmā

We played te Reo bingo, and everyone had a go at incorporating aspects of Reo outside of standard mihi and pepeha, which was really fun.

Our Beca Kirikiriroa Office came together to practice pronunciation and then sang E Minaka Ana together and shared a hāngi afterwards

My why is to keep up reo with my daughter so we can both continue to learn. I want to get to the point where we are fluent enough to have a causal convo with confidence.

We had a learning session, quiz and kai at Beca. Was a bigger turnout this year in the Auckland office. Other offices throughout the country also had their own session.

Partook in te reo bingo

Played rua games of te reo bingo, had some kai and a korero was presented to us about the history of te reo in Aotearoa and goal of having 1 million speakers by 2040. Had a te reo quiz.

I love learning about traditional Māori knowledge, history and wisdom through the joyful medium of waiata :)

Mo toku tamariki. . . I want my boys to grow up knowing, respecting and loving the indigenous language of Aotearoa. I am teaching them that speaking and hearing te reo Maori is normal, and that it is our privilege and responsibility to keep the language strong.

Learn my pepeha by heart and incorporate te reo phrases into everyday usgae

Excited to begin learning a new language.

FranklyAI breaks through language barrier

Having been an expatriate Kiwi for most of my life, my exposure to te reo and tikanga Maori has been limited. Joining the Māori Language Movement is an opportunity to learn and connect with New Zealand's culture and heritage.

To further develop the meaning of being a kiwi

To honour the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
