Tēnā koutou katoa. Due to COVID restrictions we couldn't together as a kura, so we stood outside our classrooms and sang our school pepeha.

I strongly believe that we need to continue to lift the Maori language throughout NZ. After too many years when te reo has been underused and not valued we MUST learn it and use it!

This kaupapa is important to me because I strongly believe that our 'te reo' is a taonga. The language is the life force of the mana Māori The word is the life force of the language These two ideas are absolutely crucial to the Māori language A language, which is a gift to us from God.
