This image is of Maiki Williams and Joan Chapman, students at Queen Victoria School, in this piece titled "Maoris should be bilingual".
The newspaper and author are unknown. Auckland resident Mrs. P. Malouf collected newspaper clippings about Māori throughout 1970-1975, and in 1981 the scrapbooks were donated to Auckland Libraries.
This piece is credited as being in 1972 - same year as the Māori Language Petition.
