We are very lucky in New Zealand to have some amazing artists. Marcus Winter AKA The Sandman is one of these such artist. My Year 2 class really love watching his sand art creations, for instance his intepreation of the creation story. They will ask to watch it again and again. The music he uses to acompany this story is so beautiful. I have shared other art works he has done (How Maui tamed the sun, The stars of Matariki) with my class during lockdown. It brings these stories to life for my class.
