This was the first year we got up out of bed to experience our first Matariki. My husband and I are both 40 and our sons 5 and 9.
I was in tears seeing how beautiful it was to witness with our boys.
I have organised a whānau rendezvous in Tāupo for the first annual Matariki holiday next year. To be together, share Kai and enjoy spending time.
