At Te Ara Ahunga Ora, we have people based in various locations - Auckland, Wellington, Rotorua, Tauranga and Hamilton. With the current alert levels, coming together in person wasn't an option.
Our Kaihautū, Dr Kathie Irwin, has been teaching us different waiata as part of our Cultural Capability Programme over the past 20 weeks and thought this was the perfect opportunity for us to lift our spirits and showcase our voices.
We all pre-recorded our singing parts and played this as we sang along on video to honour the Māori Language Moment.
A truly heart-warming and spirit-lifting moment for us all.
Kia kaha.
