I began learning Te Reo 18 months ago at the Waitemata DHB, who have provided weekly classes for free. I don't want the language to die, and I am excited to see that more and more emphasis is being placed on introducing everyone to new words and phrases, on TV and in the media.
I am excited to be part of this. It is the best thing I have ever done, and it's opened my eyes, my ears and my heart to Te ao Maori and could enrich my life in ways I cannot even yet contemplate in the future.
