On a trip to Burger King with my flatmates, I used the Burger King Rārangi reo Māori to order i te reo Māori. I asked the server drive thru if I could kōrero i te reo Māori tuatahi then switch to te reo Pākehā. I said, "He ā-hua whenua pēka māku" / "I'll have a plant based burger please". Got a bit nervous at the end but looking forward to trying more throughout Mahuru Māori and the server even said, "ka kite!" when we finished!
