As a Pākehā I think it is our responsibility to do the heavy lifting on what we took. Too much emotional labor is left to the ones who were stolen from, when really it's the thieves who should make reparations.
I'm working hard to learn Te Reo, and have had my child learning since they were in kindergarten. We need to help keep the language alive, and i hope within a few generations everyone will be fluent.
