Growing up I didn't know much about Matariki until I had my children. And I guess I'm learning through them. We made Crossaints and took them to my youngest school to share in a shared breakfast. The teachers blacked out a room and put angel lights up they did a little display with dolls surrounding a made up fire. Helped my daughter with her colouring in of stars. Gave my daughter some veges as they made a vegetable soup for everyone to share...
I think I lost out on a lot but greatful I have my children to help me learn.
