We are lucky enough to live very close to Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae on the Unitec campus so we made a hikoi over and as we walked we talked about what reo we know and when we arrived we had a kōrero about this stunning marae. I am a teacher aide at the local school and I love that my daughters will learn Te Reo and will hopefully be able to be fluent by the time they leave school. My husband and I are enjoying learning with them. Our 7 year old then presented her school Karakia outside the marae door! Kia Kaha Te Reo Māori and in NZ sign! Super proud!!
