My whānau, my kāinga, my hapū, my future tamariki and te ao o te mate are all my WHY. The moment I lost my grandma I knew I had to learn te reo Māori to keep our connection strong.
Ko te reo te mauri o te mana Māori.

Te Wiki te Reo Māori 2023 pledge
Continuing my haerenga reo with Te Wananga o Aotearoa. I may not know my reo but my reo knows me! My late uncle was a te reo Māori kaiako and his passing is one of my “whys”. My main reason is because I feel like we are close to Te Ao o Te Mate and I want to keep my connection with my grandma strong.

Do something for te reo no matter how big or small: learn a kaikōhau or mihi, play waiata Māori or test your knowledge with Kahoot!
