The whole school came together and shared new Māori waiata they learnt.

My class and I sang waiata and played hei tama tū tama!

I would love to develop my confidence in speaking te reo to inspire and encourage tamariki in my classroom to speak more te reo confidently too : )

I want to help celebrate the taonga that is te reo Maori!

I want to improve my knowledge and understanding of Te Reo so I can better connect with my tamariki.

To increase my knowledge in Te Reo

Aotearoa New Zealand is fortunate to have a rich cultural history. It’s up to us to preserve and grow that for future generations. Part of that is embracing Te Reo Māori. This is part of what makes our country special. I was fortunate to go to a primary school (a very very long time ago) which was proactive in including Te Reo Māori in school life. I’m grateful for that and want the same for all kids.

I want to help keep te Reo Māori alive!

Te Reo is the most important and beautiful language of our country to cherish and to teach our tamariki so it can continue to grow and flourish as it should have and is meant to .

To learn waiata and sing together.

To feel more confident speaking te Reo Māori.

I want to feel more confident speaking te reo Māori!

Language shapes culture. Learning Te reo Māori keeps the culture alive.

To learn, grow and share alongside my tamariki.

To learn along with the next generation. I wish we had been able to learn the language when I was at school

Growing up in the South Island in the eighties I received no education or exposure to te reo. I love the resurgence and want to be part of it.

I want to continue the learning journey of this beautiful language!

Te reo is a beautiful language and I enjoy singing and speaking it

For my girls to be proud of their tipuna

Learn more of the reo that is native to Aotearoa.

He nèhi ahau. He mama ahau. And I want to give my patients and tamariki the gift of the reo.

Te Reo Māori is fun!

I want to feel confident in speaking te reo!

Kapa haka has given me an extended whanau ever since I was a new child immigrant from Africa. There was warmth, kindness, laughs, strength, values I shared, language and music. Amazing enrichment to my life.

Champion to reo and get everyone more confident in using it and becoming a natural part of our conversations.

We are all on this waka of learning together for our future generations

To promote the language for my moko

My why is keeping the reo alive for all New Zealanders and getting all tamariki involved in the beauty of our wonderful native reo

I do kapa haka every wednesday and i do te reo as well and i really enjoy it!

Support my whanau

Before our Tūī Hui we will share the Kaikōhau.
