Te Wiki te Reo Māori 2023 pledge

Waiata | Sing

I've written a new waiata for my office waiata group to learn to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori called Ngā Awa Ipukarea. It celebrates 16 of the beautiful awa of our rohe and the awesome tribal identity linked to them. It also helps my colleagues to learn the awa names in te reo Māori plus it's the partner waiata to Ngā Maunga Rangatira, another teaching waiata for the team.

We are the Northern South Island DOC Regional Office Waiata group. We celebrated by learning a new original waiata called Ngā Awa Ipukarea to celebrate Te Wiki o te reo Māori and as a partner waiata to the one in the recording, Ngā Maunga Rangatira.
