We celebrate every year at mahi. We karakia, whaikoorero and waiata every morning and afternoon, provide kupu, phrases, kiwaha or whakatauki/whakatauaakii daily and translation for everyone to learn. We have Maaori games (Maaori Charades) this year. We perform (Mau Raakau) this year. Then we have hangi & seafood for kaihaakari at the end of the week to celebrate Te Reo Maaori. We teach non Maaori to make kono to hold their hangi. We have activities, poi making, tukutuku & rock painting, while speaking the reo throughout the activities.
