My beloved mum tried extremely hard to encourage myself and my siblings to learn te reo Maori.
I did ok until my mid to late teens when I thought I knew better.
Now she is no longer here I yearn to have her with me and know that this is one of the best ways to honour her and improve myself for my own tamariki.
Te reo Maori will assist me to know myself and become whole.
