Ngā tauira o Tuku Reo
Waikato
Our rōpū consists of current students learning with Tuku Reo across Aotearoa. We have set and accepted a challenge to learn, practice and sing a Pātere encouraging everyone to learn and speak Te Reo Māori. Our pātere was composed by our pāpā, Enoka Waitai in the 1970s when there was an important movement happening in Aotearoa to save Te Reo Māori. The kupu expressed in Pā Enoka's pātere feel very real again some 50 years later. To share and honor these words at this time is both bitter and sweet. However we continue to tukuna ki te ao, share with the world our love and passion for learning, teaching and expressing the māori language. Kia kaha taatou ki te ako i te reo, Ko te reo māori, Ko te reo Rangatira!
