Sang by some staff or kaimahi at Volunteer Service Abroad ( Te Tūao Tāwāhi). Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi is one of our values, and one small way we embody this is through twice-weekly waiata practice run by Nat Chesterfield and Lauren Spurdle on guitar. In the video we also have our CE, Kate Warwham, and Chris Whitehead and Mary Sinclair in the back. The song we sang was written for VSA's 60th anniversary by a former hoamahi, James Uri-Puati.
In 2075, we hope Te reo Māori is preserved and becomes commonly spoken by most if not all New Zealanders
Māori perspectives are valued and shared at parliament and te Tiriti is respected and valued.
