I'm writing into the time capsule so that we can hold ourselves accountable. If we're not fluent in te reo by 2075, i am going to be severely disappointed!!
It's taken a long time to become comfortable in our cultural identity, to acknowledge it and want to honour it, and we're slowly doing that. Working to revitalise te reo and screaming from the rooftops how cool our culture and community is. I want to do more work to decolonise Aotearoa and make it a place my children, and their children, and their children's children can be proud of, a place that not only acknowledges, but celebrates the culture of our people!
