Kia ora
I am sending my colleagues te kupu o te rā every day this week, this is what I sent them today:
Mōrena team
This week is Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori – Māori language week. Every morning I will be sending out a ‘word of the day’ – kupu o te rā.
Today’s word is: Harikoa – happy.
When someone says - Kei te pēhea koe? (How are you/how do you feel?)
You would answer with Kei te _____ ahau – I am ______.
Replacing the word pēhea with your response.
In this instance you would say Kei te harikoa ahau – I am happy.
Kia pai tō rā – Have a good day.
Ngā mihi
