Kia ora
I work with a wonderful team of Kaiako at Raumati South Kindergarten. We have chosen a range of Wero to complete during the wiki. We have introduced new Karakia to open and close our day with the children. We have also been sharing Kupu o te rā with our whānau. Tamariki helped to colour in the logo that we have provided a photo of. We are learning some great yoga moves in Te Reo Māori. As part of our kaupapa we always sing great waiata and use greeting and farewells, but we have increased this during Te wiki o Te Reo and added now waiata to our list. As part of our day we say Pao to let tamariki, know it's the last call for morning tea, pao ringawera.
We have also been demonstrating the use of prerehua and puoro, traditional Māori instruments. These will also continue through out the week and beyond.
