Ko tenei te wiki o te reo Māori e te mokopuna!! I am grateful to be living in an era where te reo Māori is embraced so widely across Aotearoa, amongst tangata whenua, tangata moana, tangata tiriti, and my hope is that the use of this language continues to grow, and that it inspires the learning & growth of indigenous languages all over the world!! We have our challenges - in particular, this year our government is attempting to reverse efforts in the revitalisation of te reo Māori by banning te reo from certain books, and mandating that government departments use English before te reo. But kia kaha te reo Māori - ake ake ake!!!
