Juztyce : Kōrero - Te Reo at Home
I have been on a journey of reconnecting with whaanau and relearning my whakapapa and pepeha. Everyday has been a challenge, as my daughter is Maaori, Tongan and Samoan. We live in a Tongan household that respects and loves Te reo Maaori, Maaori culture and Indigenous knowledge. This has encouraged me even more to korero Maaori, not only within my household, but in my everyday life. I will be making a boil-up for my household to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Maaori. ❤️ I hope to become fluent in my mother tongue, share Indigenous knowledge, and support our people in whatever way that may look. Kia kaha to korero i te reo Maaori, whaanau. Mauri ora. 🌿
