Share how you celebrated
Share what you did for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2023. This will go on to become a showcase of how we celebrate te reo as a nation.

We have a Māori culture class at the Maples every fortnight with about 12 residents from all walks of life attending. The average age of attendees is 90
For te wiki o te reo Māori we will greet people arriving at the Maples reception with Kia Ora or Haere mai
Management will send out email correspondence with te reo Māori salutations
We will get a group together at lunch time and sing Tū Tira mai ngā Iwi including staff and residents
We will host a Māori quiz re basic greetings and add a some kupu hou
We will listen to the Te Wiki o te reo Māori song list all day and continue to play it during te wiki
