Counting in te reo with a 2 year old I work with. She has been loving being read to in Māori, especially a counting book and she now counts one to ten. An awesome moment for me!

I am Maori and work in early childhood. We often sing waiata, karakia before kai and read books in te reo with our tamariki. This is me making a commitment to carry on my learning journey so I can continue to support our tamariki and their whanau too.
