Purpose
This karakia is used to start the day, and can also be used to start hui which is an acknowledgment of the day ahead and what it brings, it also relates to enlightenment or simply connecting to the new day and all it offers.
Use
This karakia was composed for learning in the classroom, to encourage tamariki to connect to the natural environment. It is based on Māori beliefs and spirituality, not to be mixed with other dominions. You are welcome to extend on and grow the karakia for your particular purpose or cause. It is not bound by any restrictions except that CORE Education and Hohepa Isaac-Sharland be acknowledged
