E tautoko ana mātou ko ngā kaiako me ngā kaimahi o Te Iringa o Kahukura i te kaupapa o te wiki nei. We as Cashmere High staff support the purpose of Māori Language week. Here we all are with our favourite whakataukī!

E whakaako ana au i āku akomanga i te reo Māori mai i te poupou o te rā ki te mutunga o te rā. I am teaching my classes in te reo Māori only from midday to the end of the school day.

Ānei ngā kaiako katoa o tā mātou kura e whakamana ana i te reo Māori. Here are all of our kaiako taking part in an early reo Māori moment where each staff member brought along a whakataukī to share. There are over 160 of us!

He taonga tuku iho Te Reo Māori. E ai ki Te Tiriti o Waitangi, me whakahaumaru Te Kawanatanga i ngā taonga o ngā rangatira, nā reira, ko te mahi o ngā kaiako o Aotearoa ki te whakarauora i te reo rangatira. Te Reo Māori is protected as a treasure under the Treaty of Waitangi and it is the work of Crown employees, including teachers, to ensure the health of the language.

Ko Te Iringa o Kahukura, ko te korowai mātauraka o tātou tīpuna. Kei te tautoko ngā kaiako o Te Iringa o Kahukura i tēnei kaupapa. Anei ā mātou mihi.
