Share what you did for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2023. This will go on to become a showcase of how we celebrate te reo as a nation.
Nelson City Council
- Elected members of Council are doing their mihimihi which we are sharing on our facebook page
- Senior leaders are doing videos to promote te reo Māori shared daily on our internal webpage
- Daily lunchtime 30min zoom workshops on Te Ao Māori (pronunciation, karakia, whakatauki, staff titles, macrons)
- Friday workshop on Te Reo Māori in the workplace
- Prizes for staff participation
- Daily light art displays projecting whakatauki onto the Council clock tower
- Promotion of Te Taura Whiri signs in local businesses
- Nau mai ki Whakatū signs on the entrance to Whakatū at both ends
