This year from my dining room home office, I and other members of our Maori Engagement Group, delivered a Microsoft Teams session to our colleagues about pepeha and mihi. Even though we couldn't gather together, it was really well received and everyone involved gave us really positive feedback.

I have many mokopuna and mokomoko who have gone through kohanga reo me kura. I want to ensure they korero maori i nga wa katoa then their future generations will too

Sharing te reo with those around me keeps me connected to my tupuna, particularly my Dad, my marae and iwi. I hope it also sets a good example for my children, showing how te reo can be incorporated into our everyday interactions, even though I'm a long way from being fluent.
