Our team of workers decided to say the karakia mo te kai for the taangata whaiora we support at our vocational day base for the intellectually and physically disabled adults for our Maaori Language Moment, Monday 14 September 2020. We are glad we were part of this very significant event in the history of Aotearoa, ka rawa atu tatou katoa! ! ! !

Learning my language is important to me because it connects me to who I am and where I'm from and makes me proud to be maaori.

I really want to try to gain confidence to speak, pronounce & understand some Te Reo. I have some very basic language. I want to feel confident to have a go & for it to be okay for my pronunciation to be incorrect, but please let me try & help me to learn.
