Ōtaki Hapori Reo

Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington

Ngā Hapū o Ōtaki are partnering with KCDC to increase the volume of reo spoken in the Ōtaki Community. All of our kura/kohanga reo, Te Kareti o Ōtaki and Te Wānanga o Raukawa will participate on the day by lining the 5km stretch of road from Marine Parade at Ōtaki Beach to the roundabout at Mill Road and SH1. Approximately 1500 people of all ages will come out to support the day by singing a number of well known Ōtaki waiata.
