Morena e te iwi! This morning, myself and a friend travelled to Pukekiwiriki Paa to join the Ngati Tamaoho Trust and their ope to star gaze and korero about Matariki. We sung waiata, had karakia and then afterwards were invited to the Ngati Tamaoho Trust whare to korero some more and have parakuihi.
My friend and I also work for a Social Services sector and will be celebrating Matariki in our site hui on Wednesdsay, we will be be celebrating Pōhutukawa but bringing something that reminds us of a loved one passed on and share stories about them.
