Kia ora from 2025. This is for my son Waiwaiā Pahi, and any other tamariki I may have in 50 years time. I hope you are comfortable and happy in te ao Māori, I hope you kōrero Māori to your own kids, I hope you have lived a life embedded in Māoritanga. My main goal is to give you more than what I got growing up and I hope we have achieved that. I hope te reo Māori is alive, embraced and spoken on a daily basis, I hope Māori are thriving and I hope te reo Māori is seeing the surge of all our kōhanga, puna, kura kaupapa tamariki come through and champion its future. I hope by then, we have the laid the groundwork so it is much easier mahi for our future generations to lead. I will continue to bring my tamariki up in their Māoritanga and te reo Māori so they know who they are and where they are from. I know you will make us proud, I hope we have also made you proud.
