As a Ngati Whatua descendant, I regret being unable to speak or understand Te Reo and my limited knowledge of my heritage. I am trying to improve on that and have started using Te Reo in my written communications (emails) and also incorporating small words in my every day use when possible (and when my memory works). A very good friend and her husband are very patiently tutoring me in Te Reo.
