Tihei, Mauri ora!
I'm a Kanikani Zumba® instructor in Pōneke. Our hāpori love to kōrero Māori at our classes. We have a bilingual class that is perfect for beginners that want to get fit and pick up some handy reo that you can use in your everyday. We love waiata Māori and have a go at singing and kanikani at the same time!
I am also an Early Childhood Teacher and use reo Māori in everyday meaningful ways with our tamariki and team.
My dream is for all people, that call Aotearoa their haukainga, to have access to their bicultural heritage. Reo Māori needs to be accessible for everyone! Not just in the formal classroom but in their everyday places...including their exercise classes!
Tātau, tātau e!
