Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Māori language week. A tui in the coral tree (flame tree) at Takarunga (Mt Victoria) in Devonport, Auckland. Tui are endemic birds of our beautiful Aotearoa - NZ. Karaka = orange

Mōrena, good morning. It is te reo Maori language week. There are 8 species of kōwhai trees in Aotearoa - New Zealand. And the kōwhai tree is blooming at the moment. They are all endemic to our beautiful Aotearoa 💛💛💛 Mōrena = good morning Kōwhai = yellow Kikorangi = blue
