I celebrate maori language week throughout the years.
But it’s time for this celebration to be constant and not just thought about over one week. There needs to be a representative maori language month for the appreciation of our language and culture. This is to expand the thoughts we have and we need more support from the higher ups to take back our language and culture, and show we are Aotearoa and that’s where we started.
But overall loved the amount of people getting back into the culture this year and realising how much they’ve been missing out on.
