I am a NE/Year 1 teacher. I have made this video to celebrate the moment. I am also teaching Mihi to our students to initiate an interest in learning the language of the land.
As a team, we are sing many waiata with our learners in our daily routine. We are trying to normalise the language as much as possible.
I have been teaching numbers names, colours, shapes through waiata in my class.
