I heard my tane saying I would love to learn Te Reo Maori. My tane is an American / Samoa and he lived most of his life in Samoa as well as Hawaii and USA. We have been living in Aotearoa New Zealand since 2017 and my tane is awaiting residency of this country.
I am originally from Samoa, migrated to New Zealand since 1985 and lived in Australia from 2006-2017 and have loved being called a New Zealand / Samoa or Samoan Kiwi. I love how importantly the values and morals of this country which I called home. We lived in Australia just to experience life in Australia and all and all there is no place like home and that is Aotearoa New Zealand. We don't know how well of we are in this country.
This week being wiki mo te Korero Maori I wish to practice more of my Te Reo Maori and exercise as much as I do for my Samoan Language as well as English.
No reira, it is our freedom of choice that we get to value all the gifts and great opportunities that we are privileged to here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Aroha mai, Aroha atu
