This simple picture is our simple way of celebrating life - our small victories from our work and everyday lives, the start of the 2nd half of the year 2021 and most of all, celebrating Matariki. Small and simple gatherings like this makes it more special because we get to listen and exchange different stories about ourselves. This is what makes a small group more intimate.
As I start to learn not just Te Reo Maori but as well as Tikanga Maori, this is a perfect example of embracing the Maori culture. Nau mai nga hua, Nau mai nga pai, Nau mai kia nui, Kia hawere ai!
