I moved to Aotearoa from England in 2005. Learning the language of the country - te reo Māori - is how I can better understand my new home, the people of the land, its culture and the natural world.
Every little step - even if it just being part of one day of the year - is a good step. However we have got a long long way to go - so hoea te waka tātou!
