Te reo Maori is one of our official languages. The first language in Aotearoa. We are ONE. Using it helps us to be ONE. Using it affirms our Maori heritage. It helps to build self-esteem in those whose whanau have had to deal with many difficulties as our indigenous people. . And it's beautiful!
I have mokupuna, and embracing te reo is another way of embracing their heritage.
