Kia ora, we are a pakeha whanau and loving how New Zealand is embracing Te Reo Maori, our Maori culture and celebrating our indigenous people. We love Matariki and all the new initiatives like putting Maori place names first on road signs. There are so many of us out there - please don't be discouraged by all the racism you're going to see in this election time. My mum purchased this book and card for her granddaughter to celebrate. Our daughter is learning Te Reo Maori at high school and loving it. We are learning too. Aroha Nui ❤️
