Ngati Mahanga Hourua o Tainui. My iwi. Paddling in a waka in Raglan and on the Waikato River always felt home-like and special to me. Fortunately, I now understand why. I love knowing about my Māori history (whakapapa) even though it is only 4% of my DNA.
