The evening before the tangaroa moon phases began and the official matariki celebrations and ceremonies commenced. I was travelling to Coromandel and snapped this shot as I reflected on the year that had passed and gazed at the stars excited for the next morning and the small Hautapu that was to be had with just myself, my māmā.
