As a fellow Punjabi in Aotearoa, I deeply understand the importance of embracing and respecting Maori culture and traditions. I am committed to learning Te Reo Maori at Level 1, and I'm grateful that my workplace encourages us to develop a basic understanding of the Maori language. It's heartwarming to recognise the shared value of Punjabi and Maori cultures in their language and homeland.
