I welcomed all into my house with "Nau mai, haere mai." Some reacted with surprise!
Then, I asked how they were and taught them to say "Ka pai" or "Tino pai" All seemed pleased to be able to respond with such a simple phrase.
Getting people comfortable with the language is rewarding!
