The tamariki of Te Kura o Awa, Te Kura o Puriri, Puriri School spent the first half of the year growing vegetables to turn into Matariki Soup 🥣 they then shared their harvest with whānau beside our awa around the campfire 🔥 they prepared earlier in the week by collecting rocks and firewood 🪵 You can see more of how we connected to the rising of Matariki on our kura Facebook page Positively Puriri. Matariki is the basis for our entire learning every Term 2 and over the past 3 years we have all grown our understanding of Matariki. It is more than just a moment for us at Puriri. ✨⭐️✨
