We chose to korero (in our bubble of two) and enjoyed watching te reo being taught in French on YouTube. Ka korero te reo Maori maua, a, nous parlons Francais aussi!
So exciting to join with so many for Te Wiki o te Reo Maori these days, in the early 1980s it was more low key, but our student Maori club visited local primary schools with kapa haka, a bit of te reo, and stories. We have come a long way, and may the support and celebration grow ever stronger. Kia kaha!
